Depending on the basis for labor activities in Belarus foreigners can be divided into two groups.
The first group is the permanent resident foreigners, i.e. persons who have received permanent residence permit in our country. The second group is immigrant workers.

These foreigners have the right to engage in labor activity on an equal basis with Belarusian citizens. However, this group of citizens cannot work as public servants, attorneys, etc.
The second group is immigrant workers. The order of employment of this group is fixed in the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On external labor migration".
